We cannot pick and choose which parts of God’s Word we want to believe and obey, and ignore the parts that we don’t like. We cannot water down the Gospel and leave out the reality of our sin, focusing only on grace and love. We cannot pick up our Cross and continue to live by the standards of our culture. We cannot follow the world and follow Jesus at the same time. Following Christ is a sacrifice, but it is a small sacrifice compared to what God did for us.
